THE MOVEMENT

“I Am What THERAPY Looks Like”, is a movement initiated by Tawana Trammell to help destroy the negative stigmas associated with therapy. "I Am What THERAPY Looks Like" dismantles the myths associated with who receives or supports therapy. Sometimes society places stigmas on those that are courageous enough to receive mental health support, but then are broken hearted by those that perform acts associated with mental health challenges. It is up to us to create an environment in which everyone feels as comfortable receiving mental health treatment as they feel receiving medical treatment. This movement seeks to accomplish this goal!

“THERAPY Plus Me Equals Healing” is a phrase used in this movement to communicate the positive impact therapy can have on one’s life. There are times in life when we can all benefit from the support of a mental health professional. When these times present, please join forces with a therapist that can assist you with working toward your healing.
